Monitor Controls, Inc. Sponsors Durham/Middlefield/Rockfall Girls Softball Team for 3rd Year.
Coginchaug Little League Girls has a 4 year sponsor in Monitor Controls, Inc. The team of girls has been headed up by team manager, and Monitor Controls, Inc. Operations Manager, Jason Sokol with the help of two fellow coaches and friends John Yale and Craig Gervais, all of whom strongly believe in teaching the art of teamwork along with having great fun. Recently, the girls advanced from minors to majors and team Monitor Controls, Inc. lead by coach Dom Delvecchio won 1st place in the league. You Go Girls!
Girl Scout Troop 568 Receives Corporate Sponsorship from Monitor Controls, Inc. for 7th Consecutive Year
Junior Girl Scout Troop 568, made up of 5th graders at Memorial Elementary School in Middlefield receive donations throughout the school year from their corporate sponsor Monitor Controls, Inc. The troop is lead by Monitor Controls, Inc. Chief Financial Officer Deborah Sokol with the help of her friend Kim Stockdale who both believe in teaching youngsters that the value of hard work will make them the successful leaders of tomorrow.
The troop has received donations for shipping costs when the girls sent gifts to our troops overseas. They have also donated supplies such as glue sticks, paper goods and compact discs for projects throughout the year.
The girls are currently working on their Bronze Award, the 3rd highest award in Girl Scouting, for which Monitor Controls, Inc. has donated supplies as well.
Monitor Controls, Inc. Acts as Mentor for Wallingford "School to Career" Program.
Monitor Controls, Inc. acts as mentor serving on the board of the Wallingford School to Career Partnership. Deborah Sokol, Chief Financial Officer of Monitor Controls, Inc., and graduate of Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, felt it important to give back to her alma mater.
Monitor Controls, Inc. has provided drafting tools, office machines, supplies, and time to the program. Deborah has served as a guest speaker for the business administration program discussing job interview skills and has also served as a judge for the Connecticut state DECA (Distributing Education Clubs of America) competitions.
Monitor Controls, Inc. Helps Children in Regional School District #13
Monitor Controls, Inc. realizes that the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. We recognize that children need every chance afforded them. For that reason we proudly sponsored the Memorial School basket raffle at the Durham Fair. The basket contained life safety items ranging from fire extinguishers to smoke detectors and first aid kits. All proceeds go directly back to the children in the school in the form of extracurricular activities, presentations, etc. Congratulations Memorial School on a landmark year!
